Panama Trimmings is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability, assistive technologies used, or browsing context.

Compliance status

This site has been designed to be compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Based on our assessment, the site is currently partially compliant: most requirements are met, but some parts — particularly content provided by third-party components — may not be fully compliant.

Measures taken

  • Full keyboard navigation, including the multi-level menu;
  • Focus indicator always visible for those navigating by keyboard;
  • “Skip to content” link and semantic structure with landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer);
  • Alternative texts on meaningful images;
  • Compliant color contrast, with a ratio of 7:1 or higher on texts;
  • Modal windows (menu, search, image enlargement) with focus management and closing via the Esc key;
  • Respect for the “reduce motion” system preference and the ability to pause slideshows;
  • Forms with labels correctly associated with fields;
  • Resizable text and responsive layout that adapts to every device.

Non-accessible content or known limitations

  • Some third-party components (contact form, language switcher) may have limitations that are not entirely under our direct control.
  • The text overlaid on header images depends on the photographs uploaded: a dark overlay is applied to ensure readability.
  • The alternative texts for content uploaded by editors depend on who inserts the images.
  • Any attached documents (e.g., PDFs) may not be fully accessible.

Evaluation method

Compliance was verified through self-assessment, including code review, color contrast verification, and keyboard navigation testing. A certified external audit has not been conducted.

Technologies and compatibility

The site uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and the most common assistive technologies. Some interactive features require active JavaScript.
