Every component we create — label, patch, tag, or accessory — is designed to be perfectly finished in every part. For this reason, we dedicate great attention to all those processes involving cutting, edging, stitching, washing, and aesthetic finishes.
We have various cutting systems, both traditional and digital, and specialized machines for edge coloring, technical or decorative stitching, and special material treatments.
Together, these stages constitute the artisanal heart of the production process: this is where the material takes its final form, where every technical choice transforms into a visible sign of care, identity, and quality.
Each process is selected and calibrated based on the material, function, and style required by the client, with an always tailored approach.
Cutting, stitching, washing, edging: every detail tells a story. And we ensure it is perfectly consistent with the brand’s message.
Material cutting
Precise cuts, tailored solutions. We select and use the most suitable cutting technology based on the material, design complexity, and type of production.
Cutting is a fundamental stage of the process: this is where the material takes its final shape. We offer various cutting solutions, each designed to optimize precision, efficiency, and aesthetic results.
Among the main techniques used:
- Roll and sheet cutting — ideal for flexible materials, it allows for continuous and precise automated processing.
- Leather die-cutting — performed with steel blades mounted on presses, it is the benchmark technique for natural leathers, thick, or structured materials.
- Solid steel dies — used to achieve extremely detailed or complex cuts, even on leather. It guarantees extremely high definition, even on very small formats.
- Steel rule dies — mounted on a wooden base, they represent a cost-effective and versatile solution for lighter materials or standard shapes.
- Automatic plotter cutting — a latest-generation digital system that allows any shape to be cut without creating dies, reducing time and costs during the prototyping phase or for limited runs. Compared to laser cutting, it offers a clean edge free of burn marks, ideal for natural materials such as leather, Viridis®, Jacron, and faux leather.
All cutting processes are performed in-house, with direct quality control and fast turnaround times, even for custom projects or seasonal collections.
Each material is analyzed to identify the most suitable technique, taking into account:
- structure and composition
- piece geometry
- quantities and intended use
From a single sample to large-scale production, we ensure absolute precision, uniformity, and cleanliness.
Edge Coloring
A detail that makes the difference. Edge coloring adds aesthetic value and definition to the material, completing the label with a distinctive and refined touch.
Edge coloring (or edge painting) is one of the most visible and appreciated processes, especially on labels and accessories in leather, Viridis®, Jacron or coated materials.
It serves to seal, even out or enhance the cut edge, adding a touch of color or a carefully designed chromatic contrast. It is performed manually or with dedicated machines, depending on the geometry of the piece and the quantities.
We have a wide range of standard colors, or we can create custom shades on request, also matched to Pantone® or other elements of the garment or accessory.
The main solutions include:
- tone-on-tone finish for an elegant and discreet result
- chromatic contrast to highlight shape and thickness
- technical colors with high resistance for washing or prolonged wear
- glossy or matte finishes based on the desired look
This process is perfectly suited to:
- leather and faux leather labels
- Viridis®
- patches, pullers, tags
Whether it is a single sample or a series production, edge coloring is a tangible sign of quality, care and aesthetic attention. A finish that completes, elevates and defines.

Stitching and embroidery
Technique, character, identity. Stitching and embroidery are processes that combine function and style, adding tactility, precision, and personality to labels and accessories.
Stitching serves to secure, reinforce, or decorate, but it is also an aesthetic code. At Panama Trimmings, we create custom stitching for every type of substrate, choosing yarns, colors, stitches, and patterns consistent with the client’s project.
From ornamental stitching to emphasize a shape, to functional stitching for attaching elements to leather labels or technical materials, every detail is crafted with professional machinery and constant quality control.
Alongside stitching, we also offer embroidery processes, ideal for:
- decorating patches or hangtags in fabric, leather, cotton, or Viridis®
- creating three-dimensional logos or graphic elements with volume
- combining embroidery and printing for mixed and unexpected effects
You can choose:
- flat or raised embroidery
- shiny, matte, metallic, or multicolor yarns
- tone-on-tone or contrasting effects
- processing on materials that are also preformed or coated
Every stage is overseen by our in-house graphics department, which prepares the technical files and simulates the final effect. Our solutions are suitable for both small sample series and repeatable, traceable mass production.
Stitching and embroidery are where craftsmanship and design meet, transforming the accessory into a tangible sign of style and quality.
